Kingsmill Ladies' Golf Association 18-Hole

Welcome to the Kingsmill Ladies Golf Association 18-hole website. The Association was formed more than 35 years ago to promote and encourage interest and confidence in competitive play; to familiarize players with the rules and etiquette of golf; and, to inspire good sportsmanship in the game. Along the way we have created lasting friendships and many smiles on our Wednesday play days. Our opening coffee is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, at 9am in the Riverview room at the Kingsmill Eagle’s/clubhouse facility and our first day of play is Wednesday, April 3.To learn more about us please contact, Sheila Germain, New Member Mentor, marysheila@verizon.net, 259-4470(home) or Kate Bush, president, katebush1@cox.net, 208-0812(home).

Plans Underway for the New Golfing Season

On January 23, the new executive board and committee chairmen of the KLGA 18-Hole group, led by  president Kate Bush, met at Wareham's Pond Community Center for a morning session to plan events and activities for the upcoming golfing season. The competition committee had already structured the Wednesday play days with a variety of events, and various tournament chairmen outlined their plans for the new year. Future information will also be posted on the Kingsmill website (meeting minutes, treasury reports, invitationals etc.)

Below is a list of the major tournaments to add to your calendars.

First up will be the Opening Coffee, March 20 at 9 a.m. in the Riverview Room. Please send reservations by March 15 to Ivana Basnight, 345-2225, Ivanabasnight@cox.net.  A signup sheet will also be in the Ladies Locker Room beginning March1. The coffee will be a chance to visit with friends after the winter break and learn what is in store for the new season.
