Dear KMGA Member:
On behalf of the officers of the Kingsmill Golf Association (KMGA), welcome to a new season of golf at Kingsmill. The primary purpose of KMGA is to promote an active golf program for our members thereby generating camaraderie, fair play and fun at all levels of competition. We achieve that by scheduling a variety of golf tournaments and social activities throughout the golf season. For 2013 we have scheduled thirty Intraclub, Home & Away, and Williamsburg Cup events. The dates of our tournaments and other related information are included in the 2013 KMGA Tournament Schedule. This schedule can be found in the electronic KMGA Member Directory, on our website at kmgolf.org, and the bulletin board in the men’s lounge. Our website also contains details on these golf events, important information concerning the handicap system and our handicap committee, Kingsmill Cup, and related KMGA policies for inclement weather and local rules.
Please keep in mind that our website is intended as your primary source for downloading tournament entry forms. However, hard copies are also available in the men’s lounge. The KMGA website also provides a link to the VSGA/GHIN websites for internet score posting and more. Also posted online you can find tournament information such as flighting and starting hole assignments, and related information including results after events are completed.
We also maintain a secure email address list. As email is our primary method of communicating with you, updates and corrections to your contact information should be communicated to our KMGA-Secretary Bill Kylander at bakylander@att.net.
I hope to see you at our KMGA events throughout the year.
Regards,
John Tinsley
President, KMGA

Odd Lots of Today.
The current Odd Lots are very similar to those depicted in the “Golfers are an Odd Lot” article. We play 18 holes almost every Tuesday on the River, Plantation and Woods courses, with tee times changing by season.
Odd Lots play a different format each week, chosen by the Captains. Today the players have the choice of red, white or red/white combo tees.
Currently the Odd Lots use email to send results and information to the players; however the results, signup sheet and schedule are posted in the men’s locker room. Players can sign up via email; the email address is listed on the signup sheet in the locker room.
If you are a first time player all you need to do is write your name on the signup sheet, along with your handicap, by Monday noon.
Odd Lots are all about enjoying golf and your fellow golfers and as said before “You don’t have to be a good golfer, just a good guy”.
