5 Reasons to Visit Kingsmill Resort in March

Let Kingsmill help you escape the last days of winter and beat the spring break crowds.

Kingsmill Resort,

If you've been feeling a little antsy for the warmer weather, there’s much to look forward to. With only 13 days until the first day of spring, it's a reminder to start planning your next vacation. March welcomes seasonally available dining, thrills and attractions at Kingsmill.

1. Riverfront Dining

Opening late March, Kingsmill’s James Landing Grille is every foodie’s must-try. As the only river front dining experience in Williamsburg, your taste buds will be in for a treat with fresh, locally-sourced cuisine. James Landing Grille presents a selection of regional and sustainable seafood, such as local oysters and grilled local fish, and features seasonally available, fresh-farmed vegetables.

2. Dodge the Crowds

With a later-than-normal spring break and Easter, you can enjoy all that Kingsmill has to offer without having to adjust your itinerary. No lines, no waiting—the perfect combination for a jump start on spring fun. Plus, in celebration of St. Patrick's Day you can enjoy a leprechaun-approved Sunday Supper and Irish Coffee at Elements 1010 on Sunday, March 17.

3. Area Attractions

Feel the rush of adrenaline on thrilling roller coasters at Busch Gardens opening for the season March 23. Kingsmill guests can enjoy complimentary shuttle service to Busch Gardens, Water Country USA and Colonial Williamsburg. Make your March travel one to remember with three nights accommodations, tickets to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg, daily breakfast, resort activities and more with our Ultimate Spring Escape package.

4. Warmer Weather, Longer Days

Make a big splash at our indoor and outdoor sports club pools. Find a little bliss on a relaxing bike ride, paddleboard the tranquil waters of the Jame River or fish at Wareham’s Pond. March finds daffodils blooming, an abundance of wildlife, and as we 'spring forward' you'll get to cherish a little more sunshine.

5. Wine Tasting

Spring is prime time for wine degustation and it just so happens that Kingsmill is only a 15 minute drive from The Williamsburg Winery. With more than 40 acres of vineyard, The Williasmburg Winery offers an unforgettable wine and tasty wine experience.
