Kingsmill Resort is a 425 room conference center and resort destination located at 1010 Kingsmill Road in Williamsburg, VA. Driving Range Attendant
DRIVING RANGE ATTENDANT
OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for guest and customer service that includes but is not limited to picking, cleaning, stocking of golf balls for daily business requirements. This position directly reports to the professional staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provides exceptional guest service
- Follows policies, procedures and service standards

- Picks range using equipment and washes golf balls ensuring adequate supply is available at the range during assigned shift

Tournament Intern
Information about this Job:
Overview: Responsible for providing general operational support for the tournament, assist with the planning, promoting and staging of a large-scale, nationally televised professional sporting event.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all training, general safety rules and regulations, policy, procedures and service standards while performing job duties.
- Provide general support and work closely with the Tournament Staff on advance planning, tournament set-up, and various other duties related to the event.

Purpose:

Primary Responsibilities
Pre-meal duties can include:

- Fills water pitchers and brews hot beverages
- Prepares salt and pepper, cream, sugar bowls, rolls, butter and salad dressings
During the meal duties include:
- Serves the meal. (Meals are served from the left side of a guest while empty dishes are cleared from the right. When serving a table, ladies must always be served first)
- Refills water glasses and other drinking glasses between courses
- Tends to other miscellaneous needs that guests in their area may have

- Exercises care for tools and equipment used on the job

Groundskeeper
Overview:
This position is responsible for performing manual and semi-manual grounds maintenance functions. The handiwork performed is vital to the overall maintenance of the property including cleaning as required due to storm events.
Responsibilities:

- Performing manual labor to include: raking, blowing, push mowing, string trimming and edging, mulching, planting, seeding, sodding, aerification and general clean up duties

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of tournament sales and marketing strategies and initiatives to meet the sponsorship sales goals for the KMC.
- Maintains a tracking system for ongoing follow up and relationship building with prospects and communicates regularly by phone, mailing lists, email and in-person.

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

Landscape Fleet Mechanic
The Fleet Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and necessary repairs to fleet equipment, trailers, tractors, and handheld tools and equipment as directed by the Equipment Manager. These responsibilities pertain to assigned landscape mowers, trimmers, saws, and vehicles of various types. Position will also assist with Turf Equipment maintenance as needed.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair all Landscape fleet equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose failures and disassemble, repair and reassemble quickly and efficiently.

General Maintenance Worker
Overview: This position functions as part of the property M&E Department by providing a variety of basic skills for the resort rooms and conference areas. Typical work would include completing daily work assignments in a timely manner such as the preventative maintenance of the buildings and equipment, performing basic repairs to include: tile, furniture, or equipment, painting, plumbing, or drywall repairs as well as and answering maintenance calls from both internal and external customers regarding general maintenance items. Reports to the Director of M&E. The opening after training will primarily be scheduled for second shift.
Responsibilities:
- Provides general maintenance skills necessary for diagnosing and repairing buildings and equipment at the property including performing: basic painting, light carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work. Work may consist of changing light bulbs, switch plate covers, replacing filters, switching out condo appliances (stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, washer/dryers), greasing equipment etc.
- Accountable for materials used, ordering items needed for job completion or inventory replacement per established Company procedure.
- Performs preventative maintenance as assigned.

OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for providing exceptional, upscale salon experience for hair and makeup services for guests booked by the Spa for the property ensuring standards are maintained providing a positive guest experience. Reports to the Assistant Spa Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide professional hair consultation, design and styling services.
- Perform comprehensive hair color and highlighting services.
- Provide contemporary hair cutting services.
- Act as a Salon Consultant for special events (weddings, etc)
- Manage salon inventory and product levels reporting levels to managers prior to running out of supplies.
- Ensure each shift that salon is safe, sanitized and equipment is in good working order or reports issues to managers, disinfects equipment including clippers and brushes and sweeps the floors in between guests, dusting the salon maintaining a clean and welcoming appearance at all times.

- Performs installs of new equipment, makes modifications or repairs to existing equipment
- Performs preventive maintenance for plumbing fixtures throughout resort and condos
- Performs general maintenance tasks necessary for repair at the property.
- Performs a variety of duties troubleshooting and repairing plumbing systems including breakdown issues, etc for the property location.
- Prepares estimates, man hours, materials used and orders items needed for job completion or inventory replacement per established Company procedure.
- Provides leadership and training for other plumbing personnel and plumbing initiatives.

The HVAC Technicians also provide leadership and training for other HVAC personnel and assist other maintenance personnel with general maintenance tasks as needed outside HVAC.

Overview:
This position will serve primarily in a supervisory capacity but has the ability to work in the capacity of a server. Supervisors are expected to oversee and run outlet dining functions, complete necessary daily administrative duties and enforce/maintain all service standards, procedures and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise outlet activities, perform opening and closing duties for the outlet
- Supervisor shift employees ensuring all expected standards are met and company policies are enforced

Merchandise Receiving Clerk
Overview: Responsible for working with the Retail Merchandise Manager to ensure merchandise is received, tagged and processed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Follows all policy, procedures and service standards.
- Ensures basic product is kept at correct par levels.
- Facilitates shipping and receiving, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing merchandise to sales associates/outlets
- Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions and notifies manager of any discrepancies.
- Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated area.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for sales and customer traffic.
- Receives, tags, requisitions and processes all merchandise for department in a timely manner
- Keeps merchandise cage, work area, facilities and warehouse clean and organized
- Manages inventory control
- Works with Merchandise Manager to correct purchase orders
- Ensures all transfers/receiving is correct and accurate
- Communicates product needs/par stock levels
- Works with vendors to ensure invoices are received and the charges are correct
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program
- Assists with physical inventory counts
- Assists with other Merchandise activities and/or events
- Assists with outlet set up/tear down of merchandise as needed
- Assists in filling in shifts in the Retail Shops as needed
- Works for set up/running of/tear down of the Merchandise Tent for LPGA event
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED and 6 months previous warehouse receiving experience
- Retail experience a plus
- Must have the ability to work accurately and be detail oriented
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to write business correspondence
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals), writing and computer skills to include Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment
- Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, reach with arms, handle, squat, use hands to finger, sit and bend for eight hour shift.
- Capable of working in a varied climatic environment with exposure to temperature changes during the various seasons

Gardener
Overview: Responsible for ensuring all assigned grounds in the residential areas are maintained according to residential contracts and Preferred Hotel property standards and overall quality.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all general safety rules and regulations while performing job duties
- Generate weekly reports to manager on labor hours and grounds conditions.
- Assist in generating daily work assignments then overseeing and working with a small crew of 5-8 people on those assignments.
- Assist in on-site training of groundskeepers and gardeners and is responsible for resort landscape activities in the absence of the superintendent/supervisor.
- Perform all duties of Gardener Steps 1, 2 & 3 with proficiency
- Ensure that all assigned work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Train groundskeepers and gardeners in steps pertaining to gardening/landscape operation
- Perform weekly inspections of landscape areas and generate detailed reports
- Perform special projects and perform other duties as deemed necessary
Qualifications:
- Possess knowledge of commonly used native shrubs, trees, perennials and annuals used on the property
- Ability to operate a backhoe front bucket
- Ability to hand dig in various climatic conditions (hot/cold temperatures), lift, push, pull a minimum of 50 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, bend at the waist and perform repetitive foot and hand action, withstand a range of outside conditions (heat/cold, rain/snow), withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight for up to 8 hour shift

Executive Housekeeper
Overview: This position is responsible for overseeing housekeeping personnel and ensuring guest rooms and public spaces are maintained to Kingsmill Standards. Reports to the Director of Rooms.
Responsibilities:
- Manages room division employees including: scheduling and developing employees to ensure employees uphold Kingsmill service standards
- Interviews, hires, trains, reviews, coaches and counsels department employees
- Oversees laundry operations to ensure efficient and effective process of linens with outsourced vendors and in-house deliveries
- Oversees uniform vendor adheres to delivery agreements
- Oversees contract labor agreements and staffing levels to ensure business volume is met.
- Ensures that housekeeping staff are in uniform and compliant with Kingsmill Grooming Standards
- Oversees work assignments daily, monitors efficiency/completion of work and maintains standards of quality
- Ensures processes are in place to ensure efficient check-in process and timely completion of cleaning guest rooms
- Addresses and resolves employee issues/concerns that arise
- Sets a positive work environment for department employees and holds the team accountable
- Ensures effective use of training and technical tools, i.e. HIGs, Stratton Warren, HotSauce and Springer Miller
- Manages labor and expense budget
- Directs staff to ensure daily departmental duties are completed holding line up
- Provides fiscal management to include maintaining proper inventory levels, procurement, P&L critique and labor management
- Ensures proper use of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing hazcom training for employees and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with the property hazard communication program
- Oversees the guest dry cleaning program utilizing an external vendor
- Interviews vendors and reviews RFPs.
- Negotiates contractual vendor arrangements and presents to upper management Organizes and maintains department incentive program
- Works with buildings, maintaining and operating within the guidelines of the established budget
- Completes reviews for department employees in a timely manner following company guidelines

- Ensures HOTSOS tickets are initiated for maintenance requests

- Knowledge of the majority of equipment used in day-to-day housekeeping operation
- Ability to lift, push, pull a minimum of 50 pounds, stand and/or walk, climb stairs for an 8 hour shift
- Ability to stoop, kneel, reach or perform repetitive foot and hand action and bend at waist performing duties of the job in a variety of weather conditions (IE hot/cold/rain/snow) with prolonged exposure to sunlight
- Ability to work well with others at all levels and work with little supervision
- Possess working knowledge of infection control techniques
