Our Story
In 1969, Anheuser-Busch purchased 3,900 acres of land on the James River and developed hundreds of those acres into what we now call Kingsmill Resort. Today, we maintain honored traditions and genuine hospitality with our grand accommodations and modern-day luxuries, blended perfectly into the magnificent natural landscape. “We came for an extended vacation with their Premium Golf Package and I have to say, it was one of the best overall vacations I’ve ever experienced. First, the package was extremely affordable, most likely due to the fact that we came during the off-season, but the weather was warm and it was sunny which made the cooler temperatures enjoyable for golf. The main thing I wanted to point out is the hospitality. The whole trip we were all mentioning that the hospitality was great. Everyone we spoke to was so kind and sweet, which made our trip even better. It also was a nice perk that they upgraded us to a Cottage and we were able to enjoy the phenomenal views on the James River. A+++ Kingsmill, thank you!”

“We played the River course and Plantation Course over the course of 4 rounds. They really balance each other out. I cannot recommend the River course enough. Holes 16-18 are the equivalent of east coast pebble beach with the James River prominently apart of the design. The accommodations were above average and the service was first class. Highly recommend.”
