Golf is a lifetime sport. And there’s no better time to start than when you’re young. Our Junior Camps are introductory in nature, and designed to make the game fun and exciting while providing excellent mechanical foundations for a lifetime of enjoyment.
It is our mission to provide a fun and enjoyable learning experience to all junior golfers. This will be obtained by covering all aspects of the swing and the game itself. Our camps are designed to introduce the young golfer (Age Groups 7-13) to the game, its fundamentals, etiquette and the basics of playing. Our curriculum is designed to develop your child’s golfing ability by using skills they are familiar with from other sports and everyday activities. Coupling everyday skills with the knowledge and special attention from our teaching staff make for a fun and exciting experience. Each day of camp begins with an introduction to the day’s activities, an instruction period, and time to practice what they have learned. At the end of each day, the instructional groups will be divided into intramural groups and fun competitive activities will be held so the kids can put what they have learned into action. Golf Camps run from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm daily. Campers will have lunch prior to the awards ceremony, which will begin at 12:15pm on the final day of the camp. Parents are encouraged to attend to enjoy the gallery of snapshots from the daily activities and training.
Student to teacher ratio will be 12 students to 2 golf professionals.
Clubs will be provided by Kingsmill Resort for students to use during the camp if any child does not have their own.
The traditional awards banquet will be held following the final day of camp each week. Kids will be fed a pizza lunch immediately upon completion of the camp on Wednesday and family members may join us at 1:00 for a presentation and awards. Camps will be conducted on the practice range as well as on the golf course. As much time as possible will be spent with on-course instruction and play. This camp is geared more for the beginner golfer, focusing on fundamentals, etiquette and common rules of the game.
