Kingsmill Resort welcomes Pure Silk as the title sponsor of the Pure Silk Championship. The top LPGA players will compete on the resort’s famed River Course, a 6,379 yard, Par 71, Pete Dye designed layout. The River Course has boasted victories from elite players, both from the LPGA and PGA Tours. During this prestigious week-long event, women golfers from around the world will compete for a $1.3 million purse in a 72 hole stroke play tournament. As Greater Williamsburg’s official tourism department, Visit Williamsburg is proud to support women’s professional golf.
24-year-old, LPGA Pro, Bronte Law from England shot a 4-under 67 and held off a series of challengers during the Final Round of the 2019 Pure Silk Championship to win by two shots for her first career victory on the LPGA Tour. She held her share after four rounds and finished with a 17-under 267. Tied for second, Madelene Sagstrom, Brooke Henderson and third-round co-leader Nasa Hataoka followed close behind. Sagstrom shot 66, Henderson 68 and Hataoka 69. It was an amazing tournament the entire week with beautiful weather and exciting action.
