Dear KMGA Member:
On behalf of the KMGA leadership team, welcome to the 2017 season!
The primary purpose of the KMGA is to promote an active golf program for our members. Through our tournaments, additional events, and VSGA-affiliated handicap program, we further competition, encourage fair play, and promote camaraderie among members of all golfing abilities.
As a member, you will have numerous opportunities to participate in KMGA events in 2017. For golfers who can play during the work week, we offer Home & Away outings (coordinated by Russ Prince), Williamsburg Cup (coordinated by Tom Bolk) and Odd Lots Tuesday (coordinated by Rob Donatucci and Van Ruckman) throughout the golf season. On weekends, we will have numerous tournaments typically with small flights, various tee options and a variety of formats planned to encourage participation by all members. The 2017 tournament schedule is posted on at kmgolf.org, the Membership Directory, and on the board in the men’s lounge at the River course and the board at the Woods.
The Kingsmill Resort membership web site (kingsmill.com/membership) provides important information regarding KMGA programs and golf at Kingsmill in general. Bookmark kmgolf.org in your web browser to yield a quick redirect to Kingsmill’s KMGA page. This is your primary source for downloading KMGA tournament entry forms and accessing pre-tournament information such as flighting and starting hole assignments. In addition, tournament chairmen will continue to post hard copies of entry forms and tournament reports at both the River and Woods courses.
All of the KMGA leadership team encourages your input as to what we can do to make the KMGA better. Please feel free to communicate with any of the aforementioned leaders as well as Arne Laur (Handicap Chairman) Tim Newens (Vice President), Vince Evans (Treasurer), and Billy Binion (Secretary).
The KMGA maintains a secure email address list. As email is our primary method of communication, please send updates and corrections to your contact information to our KMGA Secretary, Billy Binion, (firstname.lastname@example.org).

|Odd Lots of Today|
The current Odd Lots are very similar to those depicted in the “Golfers are an Odd Lot” article. We play 18 holes almost every Tuesday on the River, Plantation and Woods courses, with tee times changing by season.Odd Lots play a different format each week, chosen by the Captains. Today the players have the choice of red, white or red/white combo tees.Currently the Odd Lots use email to send results and information to the players; however the results, signup sheet and schedule are posted in the men’s locker room. Players can sign up via email; the email address is listed on the signup sheet in the locker room.If you are a first time player all you need to do is write your name on the signup sheet, along with your handicap, by Monday noon.Odd Lots are all about enjoying golf and your fellow golfers and as said before “You don’t have to be a good golfer, just a good guy”.
